IDSC is an international sports entity that promote dynamic modalities, amateur and professional, of sport shooting stimulating shooter technique, precision and speed, simulating self-defense scenarios taken from real life.

IDSC adopts an administrative structure that carry on professionals at every member country, in ways to provide a quick worldly entity development and promoted modalities by it. In each country there is a company or person designated as a local coordinator that acquire annual goals to promote sports development. The accomplishment of such local goals is indispensable condition to the maintenance of such local coordination.

IDSC has, as a core principle, deliver equal treatment to all its shooters, regardless of her country of birth. To search for such a principle of equality motivated IDSC first draw, counting today with more than 7.000 members of several nationalities.

In 2010, Texas, a group of sports directors of several nationalities gathered, and then cogitated the hypothesis of creating an international defensive shooting entity whom would adopt the same organizational structure in every member country. Hard Pistol (HP)

  • Guns must fit properly in the box with the following measures: 9" x 6¼" x 2? (22 86 x 15 24 x 5 08 cm approximate);
  • Calibers equal to or superior to 9 mm;
  • Guns can not pass through significant modifications;
  • Maximum muzzle length: 55"  Exception: Glock "C" and Springfield Ported XD

Soft Pistol (SP)

  • Guns mustfit properly in the box with the following measures: 9" x 6¼" x 2" (2286 x 1524 x 508 cm approximate);
  • Calibers under 9mm (380 765 and   other);
  • Guns  can not  pass  through  significant  modifications;
  • Maximum muzzle length: 55" 

Mini Pistol (MP)

  • Any caliber;
  • Maximum muzzle length: 25"

Hard Revolver (HR)

  • Calibers equal or superior to 38;
  • Guns can not pass through significant modifications;
  • Maximum muzzle length: 6. 0"

Soft Revolver (SR)


  • Calibers under 38;
  • Guns cannot pass through significant modifications;
  • Maximum muzzle length: 6.0

Mini Revolver (MR)

  • Any caliber;
  • Guns can not pass through significant modification;
  • Total length: 6 7" (1702 cm)
